Thomar
Euthymia’s back to compilations. This time the release is called “Thomar” and is represented by people related with this city situated in the middle of the country. Land of the Templars, “Thomar” - now called simply Tomar - is a rich place in History that several times influenced the destiny of Portugal.

I had the pleasure to be raised there during my childwood, in my grandparents house, in this dreamlike place with all this unique and strong identity highly influenced by Roman, Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures and traditional pagan superstitions at the same time.

The song chosen for this special release is called “The Serpent” and it’s an unreleased work that I’ve done with my long time band / revolution partner João Queirós ([f.e.v.e.r.] and Volstad) back in 2001, during the The Fever Experience remix sessions (as we both signed in this period several remixes). The samples editing was made on PC but sequenced on an old MPC and mixed using regular headphones in one night. And it sounds pretty good. And it fits even better.

The referenced song is the most ethnic oriented that I’ve ever recorded. And nothing that I’ve done before, reminds me more of that unforgetable period of my live.

The release party is taking place during this weekend and unfortunally I can’t be present due to some personal affairs, but I really hope you do. A compilation that can talk about the past for some person but is indeed about the future. Slowly. But we will win. I’ll get back soon with some more releases news. Meanwhile, all the info follows below:

Thisagree & Shadow
Another bit of salt in the wound.

The (more than a) label Thisco and Underworld magazine joined forces in order to present you an exclusive Thisco compilation CD. This special release is offered with the magazine and both are free (with CD, limited to 2.000 copies).

Euthymia's participation in this compilation is an excerpt from a piece named "The Day We Became God" done with the precious and inspiring vocal duties of Vanity Chair. The full version of this piece is expected to be included in a future release.

The distribution circuit of the magazine is limited to Portugal (being in Portuguese) but you can always contact one or both entities in order to get a copy of it. Just get in touch and save yourself with reliable material and information.

Greetings! (The Return)
Before anything else, thank you for your interest and support since the blog’s beginning. One year has passed and the promised Euthymia’s web site wasn’t unleashed. Well that’s life on it’s splendour. I’ve been pretty busy with some personal affairs, [f.e.v.e.r.] and last but not the least (cliché...) Euthymia. I had to give priority to some projects instead of others, as music is always more interesting than “data bases”. I’ve been invited to participate in some real interesting projects and works and I just haven’t had enough time to give my attention to the web site as I wanted to, so I’ve been constantly postponing it.

I haven’t much more to say, but I can promisse you that this year you’ll get more news than in the last year’s twelve months. As soon as I have more things confirmed, I’ll have the pleasure of letting you know. About the website, how soon is someday? I’ll keep you updated here. Patience can be a virtue.

As someone said... cheers + beers!
